Here at Enova HQ we are excited to announce that we have teamed up with HalfCut again in 2021 to raise crucial funds to help save the other half!
During the months of August and September 2021 join us to support HalfCut and Rainforest 4's mission to buy back and protect the 120 million year old Daintree Rainforest from development.
Land in the Daintree Rainforest will be purchased and protected forever from deforestation and gifted back to be managed by the Traditional Owners, the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Bama people.
Let’s beat our amazing efforts from last year and help save one of the world’s oldest rainforests together. So how can you get involved?
1. Make a donation on Enova's Team page and we'll match it!
To our Enova community: let’s do this! The Enova HQ team are shaving, cutting, braiding and colouring our hair on World HalfCut day August 31st 2021.
This year, we’re matching $1 for $1 (up to $5000) for every donation made to our team boldly "going halfcut". These donations will help HalfCut buy THREE critical lots in the Daintree Rainforest.

HalfCut is a peer to peer, social and environmental movement that creates a visual disruption by wearing a "halfcut" look to start conversations about conservation.
Founded by James Stanton-Cook and Jessica Clark, HalfCut aims to protect crucial forests for habitat for threatened and endangered species, protect Traditional Owners' land titles, start mass tree planting projects and ultimately be part of the solution to the growing climate emergency, ensuring a safe future for all species on Earth.
Here’s what Enova proudly achieved together with our community during the 2020 HalfCut campaign:
- Our goal was to raise $15K - we doubled this! A total of $32,042.08 was donated to HalfCut
- This meant 12,816 square metres or 3.16 acres/football fields of Daintree Rainforest was able to be protected forever against development and deforestation
- We welcomed 131 new Enova customers due to our HalfCut partnership. We’re so glad to have these eco-warriors now a part of our community and taking real climate action while supporting Australian communities.
- We had 6 Enova Staff members going "half cut" - including our CEO Felicity Stening!
