Our customers' thoughtfulness and generosity has gone directly into supporting several amazing charities and not-for-profits with vital funds, helping them to keep doing their fantastic work of supporting and strengthening communities across Australia.
Enova is incredibly proud to have been able to donate a phenomenal $67,345 on behalf of our amazing customers to these charities.
How was the money raised?
Every new customer who makes the switch to Enova can either choose to have a credit on their first bill, or for Enova to donate on their behalf. We are proud to support a mix of local and national charities across a range of causes - It’s just one of the things that makes Enova, and its customers different, as Australia’s first Social Enterprise electricity provider!
$17,800 for The Black Dog Institute
This initiative was launched to help support The Black Dog Institute expand the reach of essential online tools and mental health programs, so that farmers and regional communities across Australia who may be doing it tough, know support is there when they need it.
$9,800 for Liberation Larder
The Liberation Larder team and their Community Centre Pantry based in the Northern Rivers of NSW, provide healthy, nutritious meals for those in need. During the pandemic, they've seen an increase in women seeking food, with many living in their cars. They're also doing many more packaged lunches than ever before. In times like this, services and organisations like Liberation Larder are needed more than ever in our community, and donations like this really make a difference. This donation is the equivalent of 1,951 meals!
$19,695 for Bushfire Appeals - Enova also donates $1,000
Many of us felt and saw the impact of the bushfires in late 2019 and earlier this year. Our new customers that were joining during this time responded strongly as the
sense of community got stronger and people looked to help in any way they could.
In the end, $2,500 was donated to the NSW Red Cross Appeal - Helping the Red Cross and their volunteers to continue their work supporting affected communities across NSW and carry out their emergency operations during this time of need. But it didn’t stop there! A further $17,195 was donated to the organisation BlazeAid. BlazeAid volunteers work in disaster-affected areas across rural Australia, often for many months, helping individuals, families and the local communities rebuild. These funds will be going directly into supporting BlazeAid in their quest to help communities recover from the 2019/2020 bushfires.
Enova Energy was also happy to donate $1,000 to BlazeAid as part of the contributions to help rebuild damaged communities.
$19,050 for HalfCut - saving 7,620 m2 of the Daintree!
Sadly, over half of the world's forests have been destroyed - they are HalfCut. This group knows forests are one of our best bets to battle climate change, so they work to save forests & re-plant what’s been cut down. This donation saved a mind-blowing 7,620 m2 of the Daintree rainforest for life!
Until the end of the 2020, we raised money for the SHIFT Project
Until end of 2020, any new customer who made the switch to Enova Energy could choose for us to donate $50 on their behalf to the SHIFT Project.
This Northern Rivers based charity helps support women through the challenges they face with homelessness - helping them establish independence, stability and re-connection with their community.
New customers who made the switch had the opportunity to help support this fantastic cause and we proudly raised $13,450!

Our customers are what make us great!
We’re proud that one of the ‘offers’ that we extend to new customers goes directly back into supporting communities – and we’re even more proud with how many customers this has resonated with.
We couldn’t have raised this wonderful amount without them!
