A Social Benefit Model
Allowing social housing tenants to benefit from solar
Enova’s first social housing solar garden is a 35 kw solar array located on the roof of the North Coast Community Housing office in Lismore.
The financial benefits of the solar energy generated are distributed throughout the community to social housing tenants and local community organisations.
This social housing solar garden is an important innovation toward ensuring the benefits of solar energy are accessible by all.
This model has paved the way for Enova Community to work directly with other social housing organisations – so that more low income people living in social housing can participate in the transition to renewable energy and benefit from solar panels.
If you're a social organisation and would like to discuss using your roof space as a solar garden host site please contact Enova Community at hello@enovaenergy.com.au.
Enova Community Energy will be hosting a Q&A about Solar Gardens in March 2022. Please register your interest here if you're interested in joining us!
