For Enova's 2021 Queensland expansion, we knew how important it was to connect with a Queensland based charity, giving Queenslanders an opportunity to circulate funds back into local communities. 
That's why Enova Community Energy is proudly donating to Community Living Association's (CLA) outreach and emergency overnight accommodation programs, to support and connect with people who are homeless or in crisis.
About Community Living Association
Community Living Association (CLA) is a Queensland based, not-for-profit organisation Enova's 1st Queensland charity partner. CLA supports people with intellectual & cognitive disabilities and young people at risk to get the most from their lives.
CLA sees its role as helping to grow communities where all people feel valued and can share the unique gifts they bring.
Community Living Association’s important work includes:
- Emergency overnight accommodation for young people who are homeless
- Mobile outreach – home visits, providing safe spaces and emergency counselling in cars, connecting with people who are homeless or in crisis
- Suicidal ideation issues
- Drivers licence training for young people across the various groups they work with
- Supporting new self-employment initiatives with young people
Customers donated $100 to CLA - just by joining Enova
We had a special early bird offer during the month of March 2021, for new Queensland customers who joined Enova. When joining, customers could choose to credit a new account $100, or we'd donate $100 on their behalf to CLA.
$100 provides a nights’ accommodation or pays for 3 outreach trips by a CLA worker, to access and support a person in crisis.
