Enova is proud to have joined forces with two fellow purpose-driven Australian companies to urge Australians to take three simple steps this month to dramatically reduce their carbon emissions.
Australian Ethical, Bank Australia and Enova are all committed to a sustainable future. As part of this campaign, we will be helping to raise awareness of deforestation both in Australia and around the world.
Felicity Stening, our CEO, said:
“As a community-owned energy retailer, Enova is thrilled to be part of HalfCut’s Triple Switch for Earth campaign alongside Australian Ethical and Bank Australia"
“We invite and encourage people to divest from fossil fuels by choosing ethical providers, recognising that like us, these businesses are committed to building a sustainable future for all. The electricity grid is already 25% renewable, let’s get to 100% sooner rather than later. The power really is in your hands. It’s easy to switch and will positively impact all our futures!"
In August, Enova is incredibly proud to have raised more than $13,000, saving over 5,200 square meters of the Daintree rainforest – and we’ll continue to support Halfcut throughout September.
Anyone in NSW can switch to Enova, and throughout September we have a special offer for our new customers:

Triple Switch For Earth
The Triple Switch for Earth campaign unites Australian Ethical, Bank Australia and Enova with not-for-profit HalfCut in pursuit of increased climate action via a triple divestment away from fossil fuel-supporting companies.
HalfCut founder, James Stanton-Cooke, or Jimmy HalfCut as he is fondly known, said:
“People are already doing their bit by reducing their environmental impact in small ways, like using a reusable coffee cup. Now we want to see them take it to the next level with our Triple Switch for Earth campaign.
“When people move their money away from super funds, banks and energy providers that are polluting our environment, it sends a strong message and makes a huge difference.”

Jimmy said: “With companies like Australian Ethical, Bank Australia and Enova, it’s never been so easy to put our money where our mouths are and make a positive impact. And we’re so excited to be working with our ethical partners and to tackle deforestation and the climate crisis with one simple - yet meaningful - triple switch.”
About Australian Ethical
Australian Ethical is Australia’s leading ethical investment manager. Investments are guided by the Australian Ethical Charter with its portfolios producing 75% less carbon emissions than traditional portfolios[1]. It recently divested its holding in Marsh & McLennan for its continuing support of Adani.
John McMurdo, Australian Ethical CEO, said: “Our individual money choices have far greater power than we realise. By switching our superannuation and other savings to providers that are not invested in harmful industries, we can create powerful incentives for unsustainable businesses to do better while also reducing our environmental impact.”
During the Triple Switch for Earth campaign, Australian Ethical will protect two square metres of the Daintree rainforest for life on behalf of every new member who joins. Run by HalfCut, this buy-back initiative will return the land to the Traditional Owners, the Kuku Yalanji people to manage.
About Bank Australia
Bank Australia is the bank for people who want to be part of a movement creating a fair and just world.
“Triple Switch for Earth is about divesting from industries that do harm, but it is also about creating a movement of people using money as a force for good to create a better world. We want people to understand that their money has power and they have choices with it, regardless of how much or how little they have,” said Fiona Nixon.
In August Bank Australia raised over $139,000 for Halfcut, matching donations up to $20,000, protecting 55,702 sqm of land in the Daintree.
About HalfCut and Triple Switch
HalfCut is an organisation founded by James Stanton-Cook and Jessica Clark to raise awareness and funds for the world’s remaining forests. They started the Triple Switch for Earth campaign to give people the next step in their climate action journey.
Jimmy said: “It takes less than 15 minutes to start the Triple Switch process for Earth and you can sleep easy knowing that you're not supporting industries that are fuelling the climate crisis. It’s time for us all to put our money where our mouth is.”
